Preceptor Information

The Preceptor section will outline the Preceptor Appreciation Program offered by Professional Medical Associates, provide assistance to preceptors in dealing with students and expectations and to provide support to the 24 hour Practicum Facilitator line to ensure positive experiences for students and preceptors alike.

The last Preceptor Appreciation Program was an overwhelming success. The trip was March 2004 and was another great golfing trip to Panorama Mountain Resort .

Dates are being looked at for the next Preceptor Appreciation Program for Spring 2007 - contact the office for details.

Congratulations to the winners of our recent draw for preceptors (hospital and ambulance) for their free trip to join us. To all the preceptors, and thanks again, on behalf of us and our students. The winners of the Spring 2004 Appreciation Event were:

Packages includes 3 nights accommodation in 'Gold Level" hill-side condominiums, spring skiing and return transportation. Various packages are available, based on occupancy - even non-activity packages starting at $309 per person and further discounts for primary preceptors. Space is limited. Departures are available from St. Albert (1300h), Red Deer (1445h) and Calgary (1700h), returning Sunday - back in St. Albert approximately 2200h.
